Traveling by Madrid by train is possible thanks to the two main train stations in the capital: Atocha Station y Chamartín Station. Any of the long-distance lines that exist reach one or another station as well as other points of Spain, Portugal and even France.

Located south of the city. Going or arriving to Madrid by train from/to Andalusia, Extremadura and Portugal. It is the point of departure and arrival of the AVE (High Speed) and currently the base station for commuter trains in the capital. It is connected by subway train to Chamartín Station.
The station is located in the Atocha neighborhood of Madrid's Arganzuela district. The original facade faces the Glorieta del Emperador Carlos V, facing the Reina Sofia and at the beginning of the Paseo del Prado, which corresponds to the Atocha metro station. However, on the other side of the atrium is the new entrance, with its clock tower, the coliseum access and the monument to the victims of 11-M.
Madrid by Train: The Interchange
Rail services are provided by the national railroad company Renfe and include connections with all Madrid commuter lines and nationally, with the high speed trains AVE to Seville and Tarragona, Avant to Toledo, Alaris to Albacete and Altaria to Alicante.
In urban areas, it is connected to the Madrid metro station Atocha Renfe, the EMT bus lines 10, 14, 19, 24, 24, 26, 26, 32, 37, 54, 57, 102, 141 and C and the night buses N9, N10 and N11.
In addition, on the side, on Méndez Álvaro street (opposite side of Ciudad de Barcelona avenue), there is an access for cars with its corresponding cab rank.

Located in the north of the city, it connects with Albacete, Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Cadiz, Cartagena, Cádiz, Córdoba, Irún, Málaga, Santander, Seville, Soria and Zaragoza, as well as France. Chamartín is a station in the network of the Madrid Metro belonging to lines 1 and 10, located in the RENFE station of Chamartín, in the district of Chamartín. It has connections with the entire network of Cercanías and long-distance RENFE to travel around Madrid by train.

Madrid-Valencia-Castellón: it departs from Atocha station and covers the route in 3 hours and 30 minutes. To Castellón, 4 hours and 15 minutes.
